SAP seeks confiscation of 8 million UAH in MP Lytvynenko’s assets
More than eight million hryvnias for three luxury cars may be recovered through the court by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office in the case of the People's Deputy from Rivne region Serhiy Lytvynenko. According to the NACP, they are registered in the names of people related to the man, but were actually in his use. The discrepancies between income and the value of the property became the basis for a lawsuit for civil confiscation.
According to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to declare the assets that actually belong to the People's Deputy of Ukraine as unfounded and to recover them as state revenue (civil confiscation).
The basis for the lawsuit was the results of monitoring the man's lifestyle, which was carried out by the NACP, as well as evidence obtained by the SAPO prosecutor.
The NACP established that during 2020–2021, unofficial drivers of the people's deputy, as well as representatives of a private company associated with him, purchased three luxury cars for private ownership, but after the purchase, the official used them. These are a Toyota Land Cruiser 200, 2020, BMW 730LD, 2020, and BMW X5, 2020. The total value of the unfounded assets reached over 8.6 million hryvnias.
In addition, the post noted that the MP received permission to enter the territory of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Having analyzed the income and expenses of the man, his family members, as well as people associated with him, the Agency established that it is impossible to acquire the specified assets within the framework of legal income.
Assets may be seized in favor of the state in accordance with Article 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine. We remind you that in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, a person authorized to perform state or local government functions in respect of whom a court decision has entered into force on the recognition of assets as unfounded and their seizure to the state income is subject to dismissal from office in accordance with the procedure established by law.
As reported in the Telegram of the Anti-Corruption Center, this concerns Serhiy Lytvynenko, a people's deputy from the Rivne region from the Servant of the People party.
We also previously reported that an indictment was sent to the court against the director of the Kryvyi Rih City Council's municipal enterprise and nine other members of the criminal organization he created.
In addition, the forest protection and conservation engineer of the "Capital Forest Office" branch of the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" is suspected of bribery. Law enforcement officers recorded two facts when the engineer, according to the investigation, took bribes.
