Court extends obligations for ex-NAAS president

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court extended until the end of the case consideration the term of the duties imposed on the former president of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences Vasyl Petrychenko in the case of the seizure of over 13 hectares of particularly valuable land in the village of Hatne, Kyiv-Svyatoshyn district, Kyiv region, which belonged to the NAAS.
The Anti-Corruption Court found nine defendants guilty in the land grabbing case in Hatne, near Kyiv. In particular, the court found Petrichenko guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in prison with confiscation of half of his property.
He was also given the following obligations: to appear before the court upon each request; to notify the court of a change in his place of residence and place of work; to wear an electronic bracelet; not to leave the Vinnytsia region without the permission of the prosecutor or the court; to keep his passport in custody. The SAPO prosecutor asked the court to extend the term of the obligations.
The prosecutor's motion is granted. To extend the term of the obligations stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and imposed on the accused (Petrychenko - ed.) on the basis of the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of December 13, 2024, until the verdict enters into legal force or another court decision is made regarding his accusation on the merits of the appeals.
