Ex-Ukrzaliznytsia official's arrest extended, bail reduced image

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the detention of Roman Zheliznyak, the former head of the production structural unit of the Cherkasy Rail Repair and Mechanical Plant of the Center for Repair and Operation of Rail Vehicles of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, until April 7, 2025. His bail was reduced to UAH 5 million.

As is known, the anti-corruption court extended Zheliznyak's arrest. An alternative was set at UAH 6 million in bail. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested to extend the arrest for another two months and leave the bail unchanged.

The request of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of detention of the suspect Roman Ivanovych Zheliznyak in criminal proceedings is partially granted. The term of the preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect is extended until April 7, 2025 inclusive. Bail is set for the suspect in the amount of UAH 5 million.

Previously, the Supreme Court of Ukraine extended Zheliznyak's detention until February 10, 2025 inclusive. At that time, his bail was reduced to UAH 6 million .
