Court extends restrictions for ex-Mukachevo official

The HIgh Anti-Corruption Court extended the term of office of the former head of the department of communal property and land relations of the municipal economy department of the Mukachevo City Council of the Transcarpathian region, Artur Samilyak, until April 12.
As is known, the anti-corruption court arrested Samilyak. As an alternative, they set a bail of UAH 5 million, which was paid for him. Therefore, the suspect was subject to the following obligations: to arrive at the first call; not to leave the Transcarpathian region without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and work; to refrain from communicating with suspects and witnesses in this criminal proceeding; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.
The court later canceled the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet, since Samilyak was never given one. Therefore, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested an extension of the remaining obligations.
The motion of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of the duties imposed on the suspect (Samilyak – ed.) in criminal proceedings is granted. The suspect's term of duties stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code is extended until April 12, 2025 inclusive.
Let us remind you that Artur Samilyak is a figure in the EBK database.
