Anti-corruption court confiscates Kyiv apartment linked to former Poltava tax chief
The High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the claim to recognize the assets of the former acting head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Poltava region, Alla Ryabkova, as unfounded, by making a decision on the civil confiscation of an apartment in Kyiv.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
As noted, on Thursday, July 23, the judges of the HACC partially satisfied the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) to recognize the assets as unfounded and their recovery into state revenue against the former head of the State Traffic Safety Administration Ryabkova and three other individuals.
The court recognized an apartment located in the city of Kyiv, with a total area of 73.8 sq. m, worth UAH 2,240,000, as an unfounded asset, and ruled to collect it as state revenue.
At the same time, in satisfying the claims for recognizing two cars as unfounded assets and confiscating them to the state's revenue, the court also canceled the arrest imposed on both vehicles.
As is known, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit to confiscate the assets of the head of the Poltava tax department and her relatives. As indicated in the SAPO, the relatives of the head of the Poltava tax department acquired a number of material assets on her behalf during 2020-2023.
In particular, her sister Oksana Ostapets purchased an apartment in the capital, her father Mykhailo Ostapets purchased a Land Rover Range Rover Velar, 2019 model, and her daughter Diana Ryabkova purchased a Toyota C-HR Hybrid, 2022 model. An analysis of the official income and expenses of the taxpayer's family found that they did not have sufficient legal income to purchase these assets.
We will remind, an official of the NAAS institute will be tried for causing losses to the state.
