HACC sets preventive measure for Volyn council deputy Vitiv

The HIgh Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure for Volyn Regional Council deputy Anatoly Vitiv, who is suspected of bribery.
He was set bail and ordered to surrender his passports, report to detectives and prosecutors in the case, and wear an electronic bracelet. The court's decision was announced via a video broadcast of the hearing.
The investigative judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the request of NABU detectives and the deputy head of the SAPO department to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention against suspect Anatoliy Vitiv.
The court rejected two applications for Anatoly Vitiv's bail.
The regional council member was placed on preventive detention until February 24, 2026 — a bail of 10 million hryvnias. Vitiv must also surrender his passports to the migration service and wear an electronic monitoring device.
Anatoliy Vitiv was also banned from leaving the city of Lviv without the permission of detectives. In addition, the suspect must refrain from communicating with other suspects in the case and with deputies of the Lutsk City Council and the Volyn Regional Council of the Svoboda faction of the VO, with the head of the Servant of the People faction in Lutsk Bondaruk, with the Lutsk City Mayor Polishchuk, the first deputy head of the Volyn Council Polishchuk, and with the head of the regional council Nedopad.
