HACC fined ex-Head of Ternopil Council for false asset declaration

The High Anti-Corruption Court found the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Golovko guilty of false declarations and sentenced him to a fine of 68,000 hryvnias and a ban on holding certain positions for one year.
This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, but it did not mention the name of the person involved. According to media reports, this is Golovka, against whom part of the charges in this case regarding declarations were closed.
On October 22, 2025, the HACC announced the verdict of the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council, accused of intentionally introducing by the subject of the declaration knowingly false information into the declarations of a person authorized to perform state or local self-government functions, as provided for by the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption". According to the court verdict, the former official was found guilty of committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and was sentenced to a fine of UAH 68,000 with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state and local government bodies, except for elected ones, for a period of one year.
The court's verdict becomes final 30 days from the date of its pronouncement, unless it is appealed.

Earlier, the AC of the HACC upheld the restrictions on movement within Ukraine imposed on former Ternopil Regional Council Chairman Mykhailo Golovko. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
