HACC Sets Onyshchenko Case Hearing for July 23 image

The HIgh Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing for July 23 to consider the criminal proceedings against former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko for organizing the "gas case" and Olena Pavlenko for involvement in it.

As is known, the anti-corruption court sentenced Onyshchenko in absentia to 15 years in prison, and Pavlenko to 12 years. They were banned from holding certain positions for 3 years and all their property was confiscated.

The judges also partially satisfied the civil lawsuit and recovered UAH 536.65 million from Onyshchenko and Pavlenko. The Appeals Chamber of the HIgh Anti-Corruption Court overturned this verdict and ordered a retrial of the case.

Previously, the High Anti-Corruption Court acquitted Tetyana Denisyuk, a judge of the Commercial Court of the Kharkiv Region, of charges of abuse related to the gas case of former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
