HACC Extends Mykytas’ Duties, Removes Bracelet image

The High Anti-Corruption Court, with a panel of three judges, will consider the case of former MP Maksym Mykytas and his former assistant Serhiy Yakusevych accused of organizing the embezzlement of UAH 307 million from the Ministry of Defense.

The motion of the defense counsel of the accused (Mykytas – ed.), the defense counsel of the accused (Yakusevych – ed.) for a collegial review of the criminal proceedings is granted. The criminal proceedings in the court of first instance shall be considered collegially by a court of three judges.

The court also extended the term of the duties imposed on Mykytas until August 6. He is obliged to: appear upon each request; report any change in his place of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with witnesses regarding the circumstances of the case; and hand over his foreign passports. At the same time, the electronic bracelet was removed from the former People's Deputy, although the court had previously extended the term of its wearing.

Maksym Mykytas is a suspect in the EBK database.
