The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of Anton Grekov, the prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Law Enforcement by Bodies Combating Organized Crime of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, until August 4. He is suspected of receiving illegal benefits.

As is known, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested Grekov with the alternative of 3 million UAH bail . These funds were deposited and he was given the following obligations: not to leave Cherkasy without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with the suspect, as well as other witnesses and victims in the proceedings; to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.

Later, the court reduced Grekov's bail to UAH 2.25 million and left him with only two obligations: to report any change in his place of residence and/or work, and to keep his foreign passports in custody. Therefore, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that these two obligations be extended.

To extend the term of the suspect (Grekov) of the obligations stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code until August 4, 2025 inclusive, but not longer than the terms of the pre-trial investigation

– the decision states.

Let us remind you that Anton Grekov is a person involved in the EBK base.

It was previously reported that after July 4, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office will send an indictment to the court against Anton Grekov, the prosecutor of the department for supervision of compliance with laws by the bodies of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, for receiving unlawful benefits.
