HACC Extends Shcherbyna’s Duties

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of Oleksandr Shcherbyna, a judge of the Pavlohrad City District Court of Dnipropetrovsk region, until December 1. The NABU and the SAPO suspect him of receiving illegal benefits.
As is known, the court applied a preventive measure to the suspect Judge Shcherbyna. He was imposed the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; not to leave the Dnipropetrovsk region without permission; to report any change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with a witness in criminal proceedings. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that they be extended.
To extend the term of the suspect (Shcherbyn) of the obligations stipulated in Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine for two months, but not more than the term of the pre-trial investigation

Previously, the HACC extended until December 4 the investigation into the suspicion of Oleksandr Shcherbina, a judge of the Pavlohrad City District Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region, in receiving illegal benefits.
