HACC to Hear MP Klochko’s Case on Illegal Enrichment image

The higher anti-corruption court scheduled a criminal trial on the charges against Andriy Klochka, a People's Deputy from the Servants of the People faction, of illegal enrichment.

Such a decision was made by HACC, the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reports, without specifying the name of the politician.

According to "Word and Deed", it is about Klochka.

On November 8, 2024, based on the results of the preliminary hearing, the panel of judges of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine scheduled for consideration on the merits the case concerning the current People's Deputy of Ukraine, who is accused of illegal enrichment of 11 million UAH. The hearing on the merits is scheduled for November 14, 2024

As you know, the court applied a preventive measure in the form of a bail amounting to UAH 12 million with obligations to People's Deputy Klochka. He was also assigned the following duties: to arrive at every request; not to leave the city of Kyiv without permission; to notify about a change of place of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with witnesses in the case and hand over foreign passports.

It will be recalled that NABU and SAP informed People's Deputy Andrii Klochka about the suspicion of illegal enrichment. According to the investigation, in 2020-2021 the people's deputy acquired assets with a total value of UAH 25 million, although the official income and savings of him and his wife during this period amounted to no more than UAH 14 million. Thus, the difference between the cost of the purchased property and the funds of the People's Deput amounted to UAH 11 million. We are talking about 3 plots of land in the Kyiv region, 5 apartments in the capital, 2 non-residential premises, as well as Tesla and Mercedes-Benz cars, the majority of which he issued to his mother and sister.

Earlier, it became known that ex-Nardeput Vecherko is appealing the arrest in absentia in the coal case .
