Pavlohrad Chemical Plant CEO Gets 5-Year Prison Term image

The High Anti-Corruption Court has sentenced Leonid Shyman, General Director of the Pavlohrad Chemical Plant, and Valery Kirillov, Commercial Director of the enterprise. They were found guilty of abuse of office, which caused the state over UAH 43.3 million in losses.

This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

Shyman was sentenced to five years in prison, a three-year ban on holding positions related to organizational, managerial and administrative-economic functions, and a fine of 17,000 UAH.

The commercial director received 4 years and 3 months in prison, a three-year ban on holding relevant positions, and a fine of 15.3 thousand UAH.

The court also granted the prosecutor's claim and ordered the convicts to pay over UAH 36 million in damages. The verdict can be appealed within 30 days.

Leonid Shiman is a suspect in the EBK database.
