Former TCP chief suspected of false declaration
The former head of the Kropyvnytskyi District Territorial Center of Procurement and Social Support (TCP and SS) is suspected of declaring false information. The amount involved is over 2.5 million hryvnias.
This was told to Suspilny on June 12 by Olga Protsenko, a spokeswoman for the territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) in Mykolaiv.
According to her, the false declaration was recorded during an inspection by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP).
The lieutenant colonel did not declare the purchase of cars worth over 2.3 million hryvnias, and also did not indicate 200 thousand hryvnias of income received from the sale of the vehicle
The Facebook page of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region wrote that the suspect did not indicate three cars in his 2024 declaration.
According to the investigation, in the declaration for 2024, the official did not indicate three cars owned by his family members: a 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid worth over a million hryvnias, a 2014 Volkswagen Touran worth 88.6 thousand hryvnias, and a 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross worth 1.2 million hryvnias. Also, the declaration did not include 200 thousand hryvnias of income from the sale of a Kia Cerato car, which the suspect's wife received.
According to the investigation, the actual use of undeclared property was recorded by the "Safe City" video surveillance system.
Previously, the NACP established his violation of financial control requirements in the declaration for 2023. Then the court found him guilty under Part 4 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and fined him
The head of the communications group of the regional TCP and SS Polina Kravchenko said in a comment to Suspilny that the suspect has not served in the TCP for almost two years.
The Kirovograd Regional TCP and SS fully assists law enforcement agencies in establishing all the circumstances of the case and is interested in a comprehensive, complete and impartial investigation. We urge representatives of the media and the public not to associate this case with the activities of the Kirovograd Regional TCP and SS, since the specified serviceman has not been on duty in the TCP and SS for a long time.
The case is being investigated under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Intentional introduction of knowingly false information into the declaration by the subject of declaration." The sanction of the article is a fine of 68-102 thousand hryvnias or 150-240 hours of community service, or up to two years of restriction of liberty, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
