Court extends obligations for Klitschko’s ex-deputy
The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of former Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych until July 28. NABU and SAPO suspect him of involvement in the land case of businessman Denys Komarnytsky.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court arrested Olenych with the alternative of 15 million UAH bail. These funds were paid and he was released from custody. The suspect was given the following obligations: to appear at every summons; not to leave Ukraine without permission; to report any change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to hand over his foreign passports and to refrain from communicating with a number of persons.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office again requested to extend these duties for another two months.
The SAPO prosecutor's motion is granted. The suspect (Olenich - ed.) is to be granted an extension of the term of the obligations stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code until July 28, 2026 inclusive, but not longer than the terms of the pre-trial investigation.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO have handed over suspicions to 10 individuals, including Denys Komarnytskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych, Head of the Kyiv City Council Standing Committee on Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations Mykhailo Terentyev and member of this committee Olena Marchenko. According to the investigation, the government officials were engaged in illegal privatization of land for construction. In addition, they tried to take full control of the procedure for making decisions on granting land rights.

On Friday, February 7, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for Petro Olenych in the form of detention until April 6, 2025 with the possibility of posting bail.
As a reminder, on Thursday, February 6, NABU and SAPO exposed the activities of a criminal organization in the Kyiv City Council , which was seizing state land for development.
