Former MP Demchak to Stand Trial Over Compensation

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against a former MP for illegally receiving compensation for renting housing in Kyiv when he had an estate near Kyiv.

This was reported by the press service of the SAPO. According to media reports, this concerns former People's Deputy Ruslan Demchak, who is wanted.

The SAPO prosecutor, based on the materials of the NABU pre-trial investigation, sent to the court an indictment against the People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 8th convocation, who was exposed in illegally receiving compensation for renting housing in the capital. The person's actions were qualified under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Considering that the deputy has been on the international wanted list since April last year, a special pre-trial investigation was carried out against him
