Hospital chief accountant charged in Chernihiv region

In the Chernihiv district, law enforcement officers have declared suspicion against the chief accountant of a hospital, who caused damage to the medical institution of more than 340 thousand hryvnias.
This was reported by the Chernihiv regional police on their website.
During the investigation, police found that between January 2022 and September 2025, the chief accountant did not check the correctness and legality of accruing salary supplements to hospital employees.
The official signed the information on the calculation of salaries for employees of a medical institution, which unjustifiably and contrary to the requirements of the law simultaneously included additional payments for combining positions within the same working hours in the amount of 25% of the official salary of a doctor of the relevant specialty.
As a result, colleagues were accrued and paid salaries totaling over 340 thousand hryvnias.
The officials are charged with offenses under Part 1 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (official negligence, i.e. improper performance by an official of his official duties due to an unscrupulous attitude towards them, which caused significant damage to the interests of individual legal entities).
The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 2,000 to 4,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (34,000-68,000 hryvnias, — ed.) or corrective labor for a term of up to two years, or restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
Recall, we previously reported that the appeal arrested former People's Deputy Ivanyushchenko in absentia.
