PO representative in Volyn exposed over $16,000 bribe
Law enforcement officers caught a representative of a public organization in Volyn receiving a $16,000 bribe. In exchange for the money, the suspect promised to issue a disability group to a conscript.
According to the investigation, the 42-year-old Volyn woman promised a potential client to produce fictitious medical documents and assist in obtaining a third-group disability to avoid mobilization. She estimated her services at $16,000.
Law enforcement officers detained the perpetrator in Kovel while receiving the first tranche of a bribe of $10,000. Investigators are currently identifying possible accomplices in the scheme.
The Volyn residents reported suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 (obtaining an unlawful benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces up to ten years in prison.
Earlier it became known that two TCP soldiers were detained in Zhytomyr region for taking bribes.
