MP Odarchenko Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

The higher anti-corruption court found MP Andriy Odarchenko guilty and sentenced him to 8 years in prison.

This decision was announced on November 14 by HACC judge Viktor Nogachevskyi.

Andrii Mykolayovych Odarchenko is to be found guilty of the crime provided for in part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and to be sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 8 years with confiscation of all property belonging to him by right of ownership and disqualification from holding a number of positions for a term of 3 years

The court confiscated the following property: a plot of land with an area of ​​0.1028 hectares; a plot of land with an area of ​​0.1 ha; non-residential building of 89.4 square meters; a plot of land with an area of ​​0.1 ha; apartment 61.1 square meters m in Kharkiv; apartment 51 square meters m in Kharkiv; a land plot with an area of ​​0.0854 hectares; residential building with an area of ​​100.3 square meters. m in Malia Danilovka near Kharkiv; residential building with an area of ​​159.6 square meters. m in Kharkiv and a non-residential building of 625 square meters. m.

We will remind, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office said that, according to operational information, People's Deputy Andriy Odarchenko fled abroad. That is why he was declared a national and international wanted man .

Later it turned out that the people's deputy illegally crossed the border in the Krasnoilsk settlement of Chernivtsi region and asked for asylum in Romania.

Also, HACC arrested People's Deputy Odarchenko in absentia and confiscated his bail.
