HACC Sets Hearing for Sumy Region Deputies’ Bribery Case
The higher anti-corruption court has scheduled a hearing on November 21 in the case on the accusation of Sumy Regional Council deputies Volodymyr Potseluyev and Magomed Galayev of providing an illegal benefit to the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko.
Such a decision was made by HACC.
To appoint a preliminary hearing in the criminal proceedings (Potselueva - ed.) for the commission of criminal offenses provided for in Part 3 of Article 14 of Article 5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, (Galaeva - ed.). the commission of criminal offenses provided for in Part 3 of Article 27 Part 1 of Article 14 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, at 08:45 on November 21, 2024 in the premises of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
Volodymyr Potseluev and Magomed Galaev are members of the EBK database.
According to the investigation, the deputies of the Sumy Regional Council offered money to the head of the Sumy CMA for the expansion of the hospital by joining other medical institutions to it, as well as for the appointment of one of the deputies to the position of chief physician.
In addition, the deputies suggested providing the official with 10-20% of the allocated amount of budget funding for the newly established medical facility. During the transfer of the first tranche in the amount of 50,000 dollars, the deputies were detained red-handed.
Earlier it became known that the SAP submitted the case to the court against the deputies of the Sumy Regional Council, Volodymyr Potseluyev and Magomed-Sharip Galayev.
