The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure for Volodymyr Domansky, a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council and former head of the Bryukhovychi settlement. The court has ordered him to be under 24-hour house arrest. His term ends on February 25. The suspect cannot leave his place of residence and must hand over his documents for travel abroad.

During the court hearing, the prosecutor insisted on choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to post bail. He argued that the official has connections in law enforcement agencies, and in addition, he can, using the help of acquaintances, flee abroad. There is also a risk of concealing or distorting evidence, influencing witnesses, and obstructing the investigation through connections among law enforcement officers and in business structures.

Instead, Domansky's lawyer insisted that there was no evidence to support the risks cited by the prosecutor. The lawyer requested 24-hour house arrest.

As reported by "Suspilne Lviv", Domanskyi said during the meeting that the businessman is his friend, to whom he has repeatedly lent money. This time he lent money with interest, because he took the money through a bank, but the man, according to him, did not repay the debt. Domanskyi said that he persistently asked him to give him the money, because he needed it to run his business, but the man blocked his phone and disappeared.

As a reminder, earlier, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation detained a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council, as well as his accomplice - the deputy mayor of one of the territorial communities of the region. They tried to deceive a local private entrepreneur and fraudulently take UAH 1.2 million from him.

In addition, law enforcement officers detained and served a suspect with the head of the "UDAR Vitali Klitschko" party in the Odessa region, Oleksandr Sukhanov, who demanded $1 million for the decision to lease land on the embankment in Natalka Park.
