HACC Judge Closes Case on Alleged Bribe to Klitschko

As noted, on February 28, 2025, during a court hearing, the lawyers of former People's Deputy Vadym Nesterenko announced an examination of the authenticity of the recording regarding an attempt to provoke their client to give a bribe to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko in order to compromise the mayor of the capital.

In exchange for this, the former MP was promised a future mitigation of the charges, and the relevant facts regarding the provocative actions of NABU investigators were reported in previous sessions on the case, which has been heard in recent weeks at the Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals.

Instead, the hearing in this high-profile case was unexpectedly closed to the public by the judge today, the YouTube broadcast was canceled, and the journalists present were removed from the courtroom.

Earlier, the SAPO referred the case of former NBU Chairman Shevchenko to court.
