Zaporizhzhia Military Office Official Caught Taking Bribe

An official at the military registration and enlistment office in Zaporizhia received a bribe of $1,500.

This was reported by the Unified Register of Court Decisions.

The man had health problems, but the official threatened that he would be deemed fit for service and sent to a combat unit. In return, for money, he promised to organize the conscript's departure abroad.

After receiving such an "offer," the man turned to law enforcement. At the end of January, one of the official's accomplices was detained while receiving part of the bribe. He was taken into custody.

As for the official himself, the case file does not indicate that he was detained. However, the investigation seized documents and seized property. There are also suspicions that the bribe for a disability certificate was demanded not only from this man. The case is being investigated by law enforcement officers.
