HACC Schedules Hearing for Shchyhol and Zhora Case image

The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a preparatory hearing for July 29 in the case of the accusation of the former head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection Yuriy Shchyhol, his former deputy Viktory Zhora and others in the embezzlement of state funds in the amount of over UAH 62 million.

To schedule a preparatory court session for 16:00 on July 29, 2025 at the premises of the High Anti-Corruption Court. To suggest that the participants in the court proceedings prepare, by July 29, 2025, if there are grounds for doing so, procedural documents to resolve the issues provided for in clauses 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 of part 3 of Article 314, clauses 2, 4 of part 2, part 3 of Article 315, part 2 of Article 303, part 3 of Article 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine, as well as others, the need for which will be determined by the participants

– the decision states.

The preparatory meeting will be conducted by the judge of the Supreme Judicial Court of Ukraine, Larisa Zadorozhna.

Yuriy Shchyhol and Viktor Zhora are suspects in the EBK base.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to the head of the State Service for Special Communications Yuriy Shchyhol, his deputy and others of embezzlement of state funds in the amount of over 62 million UAH. According to the investigation, in 2020, the owner of a group of companies, in collusion with the management of the State Service for Special Communications, developed a scheme to embezzle budget funds allocated for the purchase of equipment and software.
