At the same time, the Appellate Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice reduced the sentence to 2.5 years in prison. The defense filed a cassation appeal against these decisions. The Supreme Court overturned the decision of the Appellate Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice and ordered a retrial of the appeal.
The Appeals Chamber then halted the hearing of Galichy's case due to his mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
