Defense Appeals Verdict Against Pavlohrad Chemical Plant Head
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider appeals against the verdict sentencing the General Director of the Pavlohrad Chemical Plant, Leonid Shyman, to 5 years in prison and the commercial director of the plant, Valery Kirillov, to 4 years for abuse.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found Leonid Shyman, the general director of the Pavlohrad Chemical Plant, and Valery Kyrylov, the commercial director of the state-owned enterprise, guilty of abuse of office, which caused the state more than UAH 43.3 million in losses. Shyman was sentenced to 5 years in prison, and Kyrylov to 4 years. The defense lawyers of the head of the PHZ filed appeals.
To open appeal proceedings on the appeals of the defendant's (Shyman's) defense lawyers filed against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of August 12, 2026. To set a deadline for the participants in the court proceedings until September 22, 2026 inclusive, to submit objections to the appeals to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court
