Bulgaria extradites suspect in Ukrzaliznytsia case
Bulgaria extradited to Ukraine the director of the private company UZelectro, Natalia Koltysheva, whom the NABU and SAPO suspect of involvement in a scheme to appropriate UAH 94.8 million during the purchase of transformers by JSC Ukrzaliznytsia during martial law.
This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, but it did not mention the name of the person involved. According to media reports, it is Koltysheva.
The SAPO and NABU, in cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office, have secured the extradition to Ukraine of one of the members of an organized group whose activities led to the seizure of UAH 94.8 million in the purchase of transformers during martial law. This is the head of a private company that illegally won a tender for the supply of transformers to JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" at artificially inflated prices. The extradition took place thanks to cooperation with the competent authorities of Bulgaria and Poland
The prosecutor's office added that the suspect has already been taken into custody with an alternative bail of UAH 9.9 million.
Earlier, NABU and SAPO detained former advisor to the President's Office Artem Shyl. Later, he and other defendants were informed of the suspicion. According to the investigation, Shyl, officials of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" and other accomplices ensured that a private company was identified as a supplier of power transformers at an inflated price. The transformers were purchased in Uzbekistan and delivered to Bulgaria, where they were already purchased by a private company controlled by a citizen of Belarus who often visits Russia.
Later, UZ purchased these transformers at an inflated price, which caused the company 94.8 million UAH in losses. An organized group took possession of these funds and disposed of them at its own discretion.
Artem Shylo is a figure in the EBK database.
