TCP employees were exposed in schemes to evade mobilization
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation in Kyiv detained three employees of the Holosiivsky District TCP and SS, as well as two civilians. According to the investigation, they organized a scheme that allowed conscripts to avoid mobilization. In addition, the former head of the MMC was detained, who was previously suspected of similar crimes, but he continued his illegal activities.
Investigators found out that the organizer of the scheme was one of the civilians who was looking for men who wanted to avoid the draft. Employees of the TCP and the ex-head of the MMC, for a fee, issued forged documents certifying removal from military registration. These "services" cost from 2 to 15 thousand dollars.
During the searches, documents and records were seized, which can confirm the facts of illegal deregistration and evasion of mobilization of thousands of conscripts
Also, during the searches, the law enforcement officers seized 1.2 million dollars, 45 thousand euros in cash and 11 luxury cars, each worth about 100 thousand dollars.
The detainees are suspected of obtaining an illegal benefit through the conspiracy of a group of persons with extortion (Parts 2, 3, 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In addition, in the same TCP, two more employees were exposed, who entered false data into the Unified State Register of Conscripts, which allowed men to avoid service and go abroad.
They were suspected of unauthorized interference in the work of information systems (Part 5 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The court will soon choose a preventive measure for all the suspects.
According to the mass media, the head of the department of military accounting and reservation of sergeants and reserve soldiers, Mykhailo Vedmid, as well as the former head of the MMC, Volodymyr Prykhodko, are among those detained. Prykhodko, who had previously received suspicion for similar offenses and was removed from his post, continued to influence these processes.
We previously wrote that the SSU, together with the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region, exposed in Lviv a platoon commander of one of the military units, a senior lieutenant, who, for a bribe of 10,000 dollars, offered to help register a disability and release his colleague from military service.
In addition, recently the National Police and Security Service seized almost UAH 8 million from a doctor from Khmelnytskyi who was exposed for bribery. For a bribe of 3,000-8,000 dollars, the deputy head of the military medical commission of the regional TCP issued false certificates for evaders.
