HACC reduced bail for ex-SSCS head Shchyhol to ₴15.14 million

The High Anti-Corruption Court reduced the bail amount set as a preventive measure for the former head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, Yuriy Shchyhol, from UAH 18 million to UAH 15.14 million in the case of embezzlement of state funds in the amount of over UAH 62 million.
As is known, the anti-corruption court arrested Shchyhol with the alternative of 25 million UAH bail. These funds were deposited and he was released from the pre-trial detention center. Later, the bail was reduced several times and most recently to 18 million UAH. Shchyhol's defense lawyer again requested a change in the preventive measure.
The motion of the lawyer acting in the interests of the accused (Shchygol) to change the preventive measure is partially granted. The preventive measure in the form of a bail in the amount of UAH 18,000,000 is to be changed in terms of the amount of the bail, namely, to reduce the amount of the bail for the accused, sufficient to ensure the fulfillment by the accused of the obligations stipulated by the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, to the amount of UAH 15,140,000
