Supreme Court to Hear Kononenko’s Appeal

The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for December 16 to consider an appeal against the verdict sentencing former judge of the Leninsky District Court of Poltava, Serhiy Kononenko, to 5 years in prison. The convict himself filed an appeal.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found Kononenko guilty and sentenced him to 6 years in prison. Later, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the verdict, but reduced the sentence to 5 years in prison. The convicted ex-judge himself and his defense lawyers filed cassation appeals.
To schedule the cassation review of the criminal proceedings on the cassation appeals of the convicted person and his defense lawyers against the verdict of the HACC of July 29, 2024 and the decision of the AC HACC of March 18, 2025 and the prosecutor's cassation appeal against the decision of the AC HACC of March 18, 2025 regarding (Kononenko) at 12:10 on December 16, 2025
Serhiy Kononenko is a person involved in the EBK base.
Earlier it also became known that the judges reduced Kononenko's prison term . Thus, instead of 6 years, the judge will be behind bars for 5 years. The confiscation of all property was left unchanged.
