Businessman and former Kyiv City Council member Denys Komarnytskyi has been found in Vienna, Austria, where he is hiding from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. He is currently wanted.

The suspect was found by journalists from Ukrainska Pravda and tried to get a comment from him. During a personal meeting with the UP journalist, Komarnytskyi refused to answer questions and promised to provide a comment later. The suspect did not comment on his departure from Ukraine, and called the investigation “political persecution.”

According to the UP, law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the involvement of border guards, intelligence representatives, and law enforcement agencies in Komarnytsky's departure abroad, since he did not officially cross the border. The businessman allegedly initially hid in Kyiv and the region, and on February 16, he somehow ended up in Romania.
